FAQs
What kind of wax is used?
Our candles are made with Coconut Apricot Créme wax.
Why Coconut Apricot Creme Wax?
Coco Apricot Crème wax is a vegan blend of natural apricot and coconut, and a minuscule amount of highly refined food-grade paraffin wax. It has a creamy white appearance, exceptional adhesion and provides an excellent fragrance throw (both warm and cold). Exhibits an evenness of burn and wax consumption.
Is food grade paraffin bad?
A small amount of food-grade paraffin because it is found to enhance the performance of thewax and give an excellent hot throw. Scientific studies have proven that small amount of food grade paraffin to burn just as cleanly as soy, beeswax, or palm. The highly refined food-grade nature of the coconut apricot creme wax allows it to be accepted in to the natural category. More information can be found in this study performed by the National Candle Association.
How do I care for my candle ?
Trim wick before each burn. Keep candle free of foreign material. Only burn candle on a level, fire resistance surface. Do not burn longer than 4 hours at a time. Discontinue use when only 1/4 inch of the wax remains.
How can I lessen the chances of sooting?
Trim those wicks! Trimming the wick helps for a cleaner burn and lower the chances of an uncontrolled flame that may contribute to sooting (black smoke).
Can the containers be reused ?
Absolutely! Thats one of the things we love about the containers, it can be repurposed for anything. Plants, pencils, bowls, you name it. When you have reached the end life of your candle place the candle in the freezer for several hours or until it is frozen. Once frozen, the wax should pop right out of the container. Scrape off any residue left behind and gently clean the container with soap and water.
